Test Batch / Failed Quality Control

What you have here is one of two things:

1. Test Batch
2. Failed Quality Control

We don’t always get every batch of coffee right. When we get a new coffee in, we explore the different directions that the bean can go and some times it’s just not in the direction that we want to take it. These are our Test Batches.

On the flip side, each batch of coffee we have on offer gets tested for color, moisture, and taste and every now and then we miss the mark on what we want to offer. These have Failed Quality Control (FQC).

So, what do we do? Anything that is undrinkable gets composted! However, just because a batch has failed testing or failed quality control doesn’t always mean it’s undrinkable. Here we offer such batches. Drinkable but not perfect. Sold at cost.

Take the plunge on these perfectly acceptable coffees and let us know what you thought! Maybe there’s a diamond in the rough that we’ve mischaracterised.
